Very Happy With 7 West - Rented for 18 months

First off, 7 west has the best staff. They were always nice and personable and always attentive. I was very happy with how they handled our safety this year, it made living during these times much easier without that extra worry. I rented for 18 months and was very happy with my apartment, I am going to miss the free wifi, in unit washer dryers and the social events. I was really surprised just how quiet the apartments are, I was on the third floor and barely heard my neighbors above me. Everyone including the residents were a joy. Very happy I decided to live there while I was in grad school. Highly recommend!

Pretty good

AC Doesn’t Circulate in apartments so the summers are brutal. You can blast it 24/7 and on really hot days still have it be 80 degrees inside

GREAT place to live!!

If you are looking for a home in Minneapolis, you found it! I have lived here for 2 years and signed another 2 year lease. The staff is AMAZING!!!! I consider them friends because they are so great AND professional. They are really good with that balance of being friendly and not crossing boundaries. This is a really convenient place to live - I walk to UMN and I walk to downtown (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, great restaurants, theaters, etc, all walk-able). We are a block from the Green Light and a 5 minute walk to the Blue Line. I couldn't recommend this place more!!!

Appreciative of the people and product

I want to let you know how appreciative I am of the people working for the 7west apartment complex in Minneapolis. From the maintenance staff, the front desk, and cleaning crew, the attitude can be summed up as, “How can we help?” I live here, so it’s important to me that it feels warm and safe - like home! That’s a tough environment to create in an apartment building, but this team has done it. I’m thankful for the staff here everyday. I believe great employees are products of companies treating employees well, so I am thankful for the larger company also. Maintenance Crew is Fabulous!

I accidentally threw my keys down the trash chute one night and was in a sheer panic on how to get them back. I left notes near the maintenance crews work area and got a call first thing in the morning. He moved the dumpster so that nothing would get thrown on top and had gloves and a ladder ready for me to search through when I got there. They were so helpful and saved me loads of money for replacing all of my keys. I am so grateful for the staff at 7West!

Wonderful Experience

Staff was always helpful and friendly. Pet friendly complex! The building was safe and secure. Parking attached to the building and location near the light rail were very convenient. Maintenance requests were always completed in a timely manner. Package delivery was a wonderful perk. The common areas were always tidy and many people used them. The gym was great, and the party room made for a lovely space to gather with friends. This complex made a wonderful home to me and my cats for two years and I am overall very pleased with my experience.

Fantastic staff and place to live!

7west is the best place I have ever lived! Not only does the staff go above and beyond to accommodate their residents, they also have the best customer service I have encountered in all of Minneapolis. The location is so great too! You could not be closer to the light rail -it is right across the street. For being in downtown Minneapolis the community feels so homey and safe. The building is surrounded by great restaurant options, and is a short walk to so many areas of the city. Not to mention, the gym is huge (I cancelled my gym membership) and the common areas are kept clean at all times! Maintenance is also fantastic -I have never had a work order not resolved within the day. I have been happy to call 7west home for the past few months, and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking to move. I am sad to leave! (they also offer move in specials that are unreal, highly recommend!!)

Convenient housing for U of M employee

Good

Gym equipment shouldl be repaired. It is not work smoothly and it makes noisy when I use machines.

Nice place to live

Overall, the staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. The apartments are high quality and it feels like a home-y place to live. Only complaint would be how easy sound travels within the apartment itself. Great place to live

7 West Apt Review

This is a great quiet area. It is mostly filled with graduate students and young professionals. The apartment complex has a lot of amenities that I enjoy taking advantage of. The only downside is that the rooms are quite small, some without windows. Also there are a few hidden chargers that pop up which increases your rent, but once you realize and get used to them you start to expect them. Finally, you can hear the neighbors and people moving up and down stairs or above you a little too well.

This property is awesome.

If you live here, it's very close to Minneapolis downtown and U of M, especially west bank area. And also safety is good compare than other apartments.

Awesome apartment and apartment management

Highly recommended to working professionals and graduate students who seek non-party quiet community. I really like how responsive and responsible management has been. The overall appearance of the community is excellently maintained too. The apartment has a nice clean design feel and all maintenance requests are taken care of promptly.

Homey but pricey

LOVE that I finally found a place that is pet friendly, have had such a hard time finding a place in the cities. It has beautiful units and amenities. It is a tad pricey and they really know how to add on those extra little fees here and there, but overall a great place to live if you can afford it. The only downfalls parking is horrendous and expensive, but to be expected so close to downtown 7west parking so expensive, interstate parking across the street still expensive and terribly managed, there are issues at least once a week with gates , and the stove is pretty much impossible to use without scratching, almost guaranteeing you'll lose your deposit if you plan to use it. The staff is very friendly and kind, and get to know you personally which feels really nice. There are lots of community engagement events often sponsored by local companies. As a sober college student it was really difficult to find a place that was quiet and homey so close to campus, but this place is perfect for the serious student, young professional, or starting-out family

Would Highly Recommend

I've lived here for three years and would absolutely recommend it to people who want a professional, yet relaxed, residential environment. This is NOT student housing, so it keeps out a lot of the riff raff.

Simply the best renting experience in the Twin Cities

I've lived at 7 West for almost two years, and it's far and away the best renting experience I've had in the Twin Cities. The building itself is considerably nicer than similarly priced apartments, and the staff is accommodating and friendly. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and professionally. I looked at almost a dozen luxury' complexes in the SW Metro, East Metro and even in Uptown before deciding on 7 West - I even have buddies that signed a lease at Flux, where they pay more for crap counters, paper-thin walls, builder-grade appliances and less space. Nobody else's facilities are as nice. There's no pool, but it's Minnesota - you can use an outdoor pool all of 4-5 months a year. - Matt P.

best value and experience close to downtown

7west has been home to my husband and i for the last year and half. the staff is professional, prompt, and cordial. the common areas and units are posh, modern, well-kept, and filled with high-end finishes and amenities. finally, location, location, location...a step away from the u of m west bank campus, next door to the courtyard marriott, easy walking to parks and trails great for pet owners of a large dog like us , and just blocks away from downtown and the new US Bank Stadium. I would highly recommend 7west to anyone with these things on their apartment hunt wish-list.

Overall good place to live, although pricey

Nice apartment, great amenities. However, I dislike the thin walls because I have VERY noisy neighbors. Maintenance is quick to serve the residents' needs. The parking ramp is terrible, but the 7west parking is too expensive.

Really wonderful staff

I have never rented anywhere better and more friendly.

The personal attention is second to none compared with other places I have rented and the location could not be more covenant. I work away from home and for extend periods of time and I never worry about security issues that might be a problem in other locations in the Minneapolis area. The apartments are very nice and modern also and the staff could not be more friendly. I have not had a bad experience to any degree while living at 7 West apartments.

Great apartment

My puppy and I love living in 7 West. Just the parking ramp is to skinny, and sometimes it's really hard to find a spot. Without that, everything is perfect.

Living at 7West

I enjoy the convienet location of 7West. One block to a Green Line Light rail station, can easily walk to downtown Minneapolis, walk down to the Mississippi and parks. The staff is friendly and helpful with your request.

Great central location with friendly and accommodating staff

The best thing about 7West are the multiple community areas, they pose as extensions of your apartment allowing for easy hosting and socialization. With a metro station and river trails only a mile away it is super easy to get around downtown. They have the most accommodating responsive staff I have ever worked with. The only downfall would be parking which is somewhat out of their hands. While there is some parking under the building, it is very very expensive and the only other alternative is to rent a spot in the public garage next door. While the public garage is super convenient, it is only a tad cheaper and very poorly managed by Interstate parking.
